Ford's motorsport centre, at Boreham, Essex, first opened in 1963 and finally closed at the end of 2003, after 40 years of involvement with Ford's racing, rally and high-performance road car projects. Boreham's products have succeeded in all the major world rallies and in numerous touring car championships.
